Breakfast with my daughter

I originally wrote this months ago in maybe July 2020. Since my mind wasn’t really into posting anything at that time, I didn’t.  Now I am:) Hope you enjoy!

I went to First Watch in Coral Springs for my first sit down meal in 3 months. I would image like most folks here I normally eat out 3 to 4 days a week every week. I was so excited just sit down and eat. I’ve never been to a First Watch and I would normally not have breakfast at a franchise restaurant. My friend Joe Coniglio who is one of the most knowledgeable dudes when it comes to great food said they make a great homemade bloody mary. Immediately I decided to hit it since I consider myself a Bloody Mary connoisseur.  So here is my verdict and I won’t cut them any slack because of the Rona. If they were selling me discounted food/drinks I would but they are not.

Verdict

The place was following all the Rona rules and it was at its full 50% inside and had seats outside too. They had plenty of staff and service was spot on. My daughter went with me and we ordered the trifecta. she got the Belgium waffle, eggs and bacon. I got one pancake, bacon, grits and seasoned potatoes as a side. the bacon was overcooked and the potatoes were too salty. The  grits, pancakes and drinks were very good. Now the bloody mary was good and came with their million dollar bacon inside. I like the fact the mix is homemade but it just didn’t have that black pepper and horseradish zing I like. I would categorize it as refreshing. The bacon definitely made it taste better.  The ambiance has a hip vibe with a modern farmhouse decor made it nice and chill. Thank you Joe C. for turning me on to the place. I think with its kinda healthy spin on food and fresh squeezed juices this should be a success in Coral Springs . I give this place 2 Beers! Stay Hungry Folks!
