Dan I Cook Hidden Treasures: Jesse’s Xtreme Sports Bar, Dan’s Insanity Sauce.

One thing is for sure, I’m a big fan of hot sauces. I probably have about 15 in my refrigerator right now. I’m not a chili head by any means but I enjoy any sauce that packs a good punch of flavor. To me it doesn’t have to be “burn your tongue” hot to be outstanding.

Jesse’s Xtreme Sports Bar has been in Margate, Fl. for years. I actually have been going to this bar before it was Jesse’s when it was placed called Gotrocks…But, that’s another story. When I was writing on Yelp, I heard they had a great Philly Cheese Steak so I went there to try it…but what caught my eye was their homemade Hot Sauce. It’s called Dan’s Insanity Sauce and it is made by the head chef, Dan. I sampled some on my finger and was pleasantly surprised with its flavor. I added it to my cheese steak, which is decent by the way, and I really was starting to dig this sauce. Good mix of spices and peppers without killing your palette with heat. I had to buy some. Lucky for me they sold nice sized bottles. I bought a bottle and have been buying them ever since. Over the years the bottle has gotten smaller and the price has increased…the price of success I guess LOL. An 8 ounce bottle costs $7.50 and it’s well worth the price.

Just so everyone knows, Jesse’s is a neighborhood bar and in no way is it a fancy joint. Do not be intimidated to walk in and buy a bottle of hot sauce or even eat. Again, the food is good solid pub food. They do allow smoking inside so be prepared for that, too. Once you buy it and use it y’all will be thanking me for sure!
