D’ Apple is Delicious!
I wrote about this place years ago and I thought it’s about time to write an updated review. I stroll in around 10:00am on a Friday after getting my daughter’s filthy car washed. To my surprise it had a nice crowd with families with young kids celebrating the first day of no school. I was greeted by the owner, a friendly woman who waits tables and also mans the cash register. She told me to sit anywhere I wanted. So, I sit in a booth and start looking over the menu. I was going to have breakfast, but I glanced over and saw the “specials” board. What caught my eye was the Cheeseburger Club with fries for about 8 bucks and change. When I saw this, my mind started to wander back to when Dan’s Submarines used to be open on Sunrise Blvd in Ft. Lauderdale. They had a cheeseburger sub that was off the charts. Looking at my watch and seeing 10am…no problem… Cheeseburger Club time LOL. I order the club and get the burger medium. I also get a to go order of a Belgian waffle platter for my lazy high school daughter who can’t keep her car clean so I took her car away for it being so messy. If you haven’t figured it out yet, my mind is also thinking about my daughter so it’s being intertwined in my review. I hope you don’t mind … I call this therapy so I don’t lose my mind! LOL. Back to my review….the service was prompt and friendly. My club sandwich came out and it looked Delicious. It was cooked a perfect medium and I was ready to dive in. Wait….I needed A1 Sauce. I’m a HUGE fan of A1 Sauce. I love it on burgers, steaks and even my fries. The Cheeseburger Club didn’t come with mayo, ketchup or mustard but I’m sure if you asked they would add it. With my A1 Sauce strategically placed on my food, I go in for the kill. Hell Yes! Man I’m digging this sandwich. Fresh iceberg lettuce and tomatoes on the toasted sourdough bread was money. I only wish the Club came with bacon and raw white onions. The meat was cooked on a flattop grill which I love…It gives the meat a good crust on the outside. Just an outstanding sandwich!
Verdict
I’ve been here for breakfast and lunch and each time I’ve eaten here it’s been very good. Nice home style vibe with pictures of apples all around. The restaurant is spotless and nothing has really changed since my last review years ago. Trust me that’s a good thing. If I lived a little closer I’d probably be a regular. If you have never been here you definitely need to visit. If you are a regular or live close to this joint you better say “thank you” to the owner for being in Coral Springs FL. 4 Beers! Remember to tell them Dan I Cook sent you and Stay Hungry!
Four beers = Outstanding
Three beers = Good
Two beers = OK
One beer = Needs work
Zero beers= Sucks (No beer is never a good thing.)
